FAQ

Answers to questions about credits, schedules, scans, rolling back changes, and running on Linux.

What are credits charged for?

For the agent's replies, internet search, image generation, and recognition of scans and speech. Reading documents and files on the computer is free.

How do "Chats" differ from "Agent"?

"Chats" is a regular AI chat, like the web chat; chats are shared across all devices. "Agent" is work in a folder on the computer: files, commands, scheduled tasks; conversations are stored on the computer.

Will a scheduled task run if the app is closed?

No, tasks run while the app is open. Leave it open and turn on "Help" → "Keep the computer awake". A missed run is performed once the next time the app is opened.

Why does the agent ask permission to send a file for text recognition?

It is a scan: the file has no text, only images of pages. Recognizing such a file is paid, so the agent asks you first.

The agent did the wrong thing. Can I roll it back?

The app does not roll back changes on its own. For important work, turn on planning mode: the agent shows a plan and touches files only after you click "Accept". If the folder is under git, the changes can be reverted with git; ask the agent to do it.

Can I forbid the agent from changing anything?

Yes. Set the switch below the input field to "Change nothing", and the agent will only read and reply.

Where can I see what went wrong?

"Help" → "Open log". To contact support, the "Report a bug" button at the bottom of the left panel is more convenient: the log is sent together with the message.

The AppImage does not start on Linux

  • If the system mentions FUSE, install the libfuse2 package (on Ubuntu 24.04 it is called libfuse2t64).

  • If the app closes immediately with a message about sandbox, run it with the --no-sandbox flag:

    Terminal
    ./Yenisei-*-x86_64.AppImage --no-sandbox
