Commands on the computer

How the agent runs programs and commands, and when it asks for confirmation.

The agent can run commands on your computer: launch programs, build a project, run tests, unpack archives. Describe the task in words:

• "Check whether there is free space on the disk."
• "Run the tests."
• "Convert all images in this folder to JPEG."

Every command and its output are visible in the conversation.

Long commands

A command that takes a long time runs in the background: the conversation goes on, and when the command finishes, the agent picks up its output and shows the result.

Confirmations

What the agent is allowed to do is determined by the access switch below the input field: "Change nothing", "Work in my folder", or "Full disk access".

If, in "Work in my folder" mode, a command has to touch a file outside the folder, the agent stops and shows a "Waiting for confirmation" window with the buttons "Allow once" and "Decline". See the Working with files page.
