How to dictate a question with your microphone or attach a ready voice recording.

Instead of typing a question, you can dictate it: the chat turns speech into text, which you can edit before sending. A ready voice recording can be attached as a file; the chat then receives a transcript and answers based on it.

Dictation

1. Click the microphone button next to the input field.
2. Say your question.
3. Click the button again. The text appears in the input field, and you can edit it before sending.

On the first click the browser will ask for permission to use the microphone.

What to do if dictation does not work

• If there is no microphone permission, the chat will say "Microphone unavailable: check the permission in your browser". Allow access in your browser settings and try again.
• If no words were found in the recording, the message "No speech heard" appears. Click the button and say your question again.

Voice recording as a file

Attach an audio file to your question; the chat will receive a transcript and answer based on it. Recording formats and sizes are listed in Working with files.
