Deleting data and your account

How to delete conversations, sign out, remove the program from your computer and delete your account.

Yenisei CLI keeps its data on your computer in the ~/.config/yenisei/ folder: conversations, sign-in and service files. Your account is shared by all Yenisei products, so it is deleted not in the program but in the console.

Conversations

Conversations are stored in the ~/.config/yenisei/history/ folder. To erase them all, delete this folder. To start the current conversation over, use the /reset command.

Signing out

The yenisei logout command removes the session from this computer.

Removing the program

macOS and Linux

rm /usr/local/bin/yenisei
rm -r ~/.config/yenisei

If the program was installed with sudo, run the first command with sudo too.

Windows

1. Find where the program is. The command works in both cmd and PowerShell:

   Terminal

   where.exe yenisei
   

2. Delete yenisei.exe from that folder.

3. Delete the folder with the program's data. In cmd a confirmation question appears before deletion; answer Y.

rmdir /s "%USERPROFILE%\.config\yenisei"

Remove-Item -Recurse -Force "$env:USERPROFILE\.config\yenisei"

Account

There is one account for all Yenisei products. You can delete it in the console: console.yenisei.ru → "Account" → "Delete account", confirming with a code from an email.
